Είναι ζωή αυτή; Όχι απαντάει η Λουκρητία και αποφασίζει να εγκαταλείψει τη βαρετή και ξεχαρβαλωμένη οικογενειακή εστία και να αναζητήσει καινούργιες εμπειρίες, έξω στους δρόμους. Μάταια ο συνετός Καστράτο προσπαθεί να της γυρίσει τα μυαλά. Αυτή είναι αποφασισμένη να γυρίσει σελίδα. Θα γίνει λοιπόν μία του δρόμου; Θα βουτηχτεί στην κραιπάλη και την ακολασία του πεζοδρομίου, ή αφού περιπλανηθεί άδικα, στο τέλος θα γυρίσει απογοητευμένη στο σπίτι; Και αν γίνει έτσι, τι άλλο της μένει πια; Μήπως μόνο η αυτοκτονία;
